A More Vibrant Singapore Airport Transfer Scene

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong made an exciting announcement on 18th August that Singapore Changi International Airport will build a Terminal 5! Known as T5, Lee said it “sounds like a terminal, but it is actually a whole airport by itself, as big as today’s Changi Airport.”

Changi Airport has been voted this year’s World’s Best Airport by British based consultancy Skytrax. In constructing the new terminal, Lee said Changi Airport will double its capacity and retain its edge as the regional aviation hub. Changi Airport served 51.2 M passengers last year off its three terminals.

Construction of the T5 will commence soon and is envisioned to take up to 15 years.
